And year after year, our African acts are not just showing up; they are dominating.
Just look at the recent 2026 MOBO Awards! Our very own Wizkid clinched the highly coveted Best African Music Act. And guess who made history? Ayra Starr, who not only bagged a nomination for Best African Music Act but also secured the Best International Act award, beating global heavyweights! That's a huge win for African women in music and for the culture as a whole. These aren't just awards; they are a clear indication of how Afrobeats and other African sounds are breaking barriers and becoming a global force.
