This isn't just another online course; it’s an advanced program specifically for researchers and educators, developed with University College London, and guess what? It’s localized for our African contexts! Google.org is even funding lecturer training to ensure it hits the ground running in our classrooms. This is huge, fam! This is about building our own capacity to innovate, to solve our own problems with cutting-edge AI.
Now, you know our government dem loves to talk a good game. We heard the AGF himself, just last December, talking about how the Federal Government is using digital-economy initiatives and youth empowerment programs like the 3MTT and Nigerian Youth Academy to fight corruption and empower our youth. They say an empowered youth is harder to corrupt. Preach! That’s the dream, abi?

While we celebrate these incredible global initiatives, let's not forget the painful reality on our ground. Remember that report from late 2024? The one that laid bare how countless government youth empowerment funds – funds meant to give our young people a leg up – were siphoned off by corrupt officials, never reaching the hands of those who needed them most? Billions, gone! Just like that!
