We're seeing freelancers using ChatGPT and Canva AI to level up their hustle, creating designs, content, and proposals in minutes instead of hours. Universities and local hubs like Data Science Nigeria are churning out courses, and in Kenya, initiatives like Moringa, backed by Google, are training thousands of youth in AI skills. Even in Kibera, kids are learning coding and AI! We're talking about a future where AI could add trillions to Africa's economy. Kenya's even got a National AI Strategy rolling out public servant training.
Now, here's where the aproko hits different. Imagine the sheer, unbridled potential if our leaders matched this grassroots energy! While our people are busy trying to build with AI, a significant chunk of our national resources and focus gets diverted by political grandstanding and the same old #Corruption. But how can we fully harness this when the systems themselves are undermined by those meant to protect them?
