The Minister’s Wealth and the Activist’s Petition
Now Nyesom, the son of Wike, the Minister, did continue to rage and speak with a loud voice in the Federal City, unmindful of the great wealth and property that the people suspected he had amassed during his years as Governor of the oil-rich land.
And a bold activist named Omoyele, the son of Sowore, a man who had himself sought the throne of Nigeria, did rise up to confront the Minister.
For Sowore did accuse the Minister Wike of a great corruption, alleging that he had laundered millions of American dollars to purchase luxury homes in the land of Florida, in the United States of America.
The activist’s scribes did publish documents which showed that three magnificent lakeside properties were acquired in the names of the Minister’s children between the year 2021 and 2023, and that the transactions were executed in cash to conceal the ownership.
And Sowore did not stop at mere accusation, but he dispatched a solemn petition to the Attorney-General of the State of Florida, calling upon the authorities of that land to seize the properties and to prosecute the Minister for the crime of laundering money.
And the Minister, Wike, did respond with arrogance, not denying the existence of the properties in the names of his wife and children, but declaring them to be mere “gifts,” a statement which further stirred the outrage of the people.
And the warnings of the United States were heard throughout the kingdom, saying that henceforth, they would place a ban on the visas of any Nigerian public official found to be corrupt, a warning that struck fear into the hearts of many who had secretly built their empires overseas.
Thus, the Minister of the Federal Territory, though powerful and feared, found himself in a fiery furnace of international scrutiny, a battle between a politician’s brazen ambition and an activist’s relentless crusade for accountability.
