Kiro IDE - AI coder

Is anyone here using any of the AI coder? I just got to know about this new one called Kiro. I think its better than Cursor and Windsurf. I’ve been vibing with it for some days now, its currently on public preview and free to use.

Ah! I thought I was the only one in this part of the world. Kiro IDE is everything I needed for my workflow. The Spec documents setup is maaddd, helps me keep track of my progress. All that vibe coding thing only works for quick fixes. A good work needs all the planning and Kiro code does just that. Everyone should try it out.

So, talking about Kiro code here. I would say it’s one of the best when it comes to AI IDEs, from my experience having used Cursor, Windsurf, Trae, and now Kiro. Kiro is the perfect tool for a Product manager because of the “Spec” feature that allows you to plan your project Requirements, Design and Tasks - makes you understand that Vibe coding is not real, you just need to plan. Kiro has a Vibe feature though, but I used it for quick fixes.

Now, my issue with Kiro is the context window, it needs to be transparent or at least give a warning when it is approaching the full capacity, instead of just suddenly stopping. Like that’s not bad enough, it says “summarize to continue”, then you get to the new window and it’s totally lost, even when you try to guide it back it gets difficult and could mess up your code if you’re not babysitting it.

I really hope they get to fix that aspect because it’s a major setback, and makes it difficult to work on a large codebase.

Overall, I really value Kiro’s structured approach, and I’m sticking with it - I tried the new one that wants to replicate Kiro - Qoder, but NO, Kiro is better.
