Barr Amobi Ezeaku Assumes Role of General Secretary in NPFL Club Owners Association.
Abuja, July 19, 2024 — In a significant leadership transition, Barr Amobi Ezeaku, the CEO of Rangers International of Enugu, has taken over as the new General Secretary of the NPFL Club Owners Association. The handover ceremony occurred during the NPFL Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Tuesday night.
The AGM, a customary gathering attended by representatives from all 20 clubs that participated in the 2023/24 season, also welcomed the four newly promoted teams from the NNL. Sporting Lagos FC Director, Godwin Enakhena, formally passed the baton to Barr Amobi Ezeaku during this pivotal event.
Among the notable attendees were Promise Nwachukwu, General Manager of Heartland, and Abubakar Abubakar (popularly known as Danfulani), GM of Gombe United. Additionally, the Secretary of Doma United was present alongside other club representatives.
Godwin Enakhena emphasized the importance of the transition, stating, “Apart from the three relegated teams, my presence was crucial as I handed over all relevant documents to Barr Amobi, including changes in bank signatures and other administrative matters.”
The NPFL Club Owners Association looks forward to Barr Amobi Ezeaku’s leadership as they continue to promote football excellence and collaboration among Nigerian clubs.
