ceecee This is the office of the National Education Research Development Council (NERDC) around Jibowu. It is close to WAEC office. NERDC is the body in charge of the curriculum used in secondary schools in Nigeria. The books inside this place could be counted in minutes, and only 3 people were in there. The current curriculum in use by schools was developed in 2012 for junior secondary school, and for senior it was last developed 2007. Little wonder there is serious dearth in quality of education in Nigerian schools. .
dandy theo At first I didn’t even see any signboard. I had to zoom in after reading your comment before I could notice it.
mikolo Is this for real? I use to pass by this build almost every day and never could have tell. The signboard is old and rusted, not visible at all.
makanaki What a shame! Look at the building of a government body responsible for the development of education in Nigeria compared to the multi billion Naira vice presidents mansion, you can tell where the government’s priority lies as a nation.
rachelzane This is pathetic. The Nigerian government need to get their priorities straight. Education is key to the advancement of any society. But I doubt they even care about advancement.
theo rachelzane Na before o, education nor come be the key to the government again now, na how to loot the country dry come be their problem.
segun .. research and development council indeed! 3 people! Don’t be surprised that the payroll has like 3000 people on it. 😂😂
pitobi My pain is that with this exposure all they would be thinking of is how to steal. They will loot the funds allocated for the RENOVATION or RECONSTRUCTION of a new building. Nigeria, my country brings more sadness and tears than joy and laughter. Shamelessness has become a virtue
chuka I always say it that nigerian leaders doesnt care about education. For eg, the National Library in Abuja has been under construction for over 18 years, while the vice president’s residence has been completed within the same timeframe. It’s sad to see educational projects being abandoned for other priorities
