Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) entered into an agreement with China Sinoma International Engineering to build a 6 million tons per annum cement plant in Itori, Ogun State. This $1 billion investment is expected to be completed in 2024 and will increase Dangote’s total production capacity to 41.25 million tons per annum in Nigeria.

Emzor Pharmaceuticals announced plans to build a $23 million Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) facility in Sagamu, Ogun State. BUA Cement is carrying out expansion of its production facilities to increase its output and share of the Nigerian market and West Africa. The company plans to increase its production capacity from 11 million tons per annum to 17 million tons per annum by 2023. This expansion includes new plants in Sokoto and Obu, Edo State.
Erakson Nigeria announced the construction of the ERASKON lubricant and chemical blending plant in Gbarain, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, with a production capacity of 64,000 liters per day. The $40 million plant is expected to be completed by the end of 2023 and will create over 1,000 direct and indirect jobs. It will produce a wide range of lubricants for various industries, including the automotive, industrial, and marine sectors.
